Baby Hippo Ballet

rose_catAdhama is a baby hippo born in January 2011 at the San Diego Zoo. His mother, Funani, has had three previous calves, but Adhama is her first with father Otis.
Adhama means "honor" or "glory" in Swahili.
These photos were published at the Daily Mail (UK) website in mid-May of 2011.
And here are some videos.
The birth, in January 2011...
...Funani looking after him, and helping him to the surface to take a breath...
...and Adhama, at the end of June 2011 (I think), working on his dance routine.
Okay, that's it. B and I are going to the zoo next weekend.
