Headline in an October 29 news article in the North County Times:

Rare kittens
Sep. 5th, 2012 07:41 pmThese are sand cat kittens, with their mom Rotem, at the Zoological Center of Tel Aviv, where they were born three weeks ago. The species is native to deserts in parts of Africa and Asia, but appears to have become extinct in the wild in Israel during the 1990s. Sand cats are becoming increasingly rare in the wild, which is mostly due to loss of their habitat. These kittens are part of a special European breeding program. Story here.

I first posted a video of performances by Nora the Piano-Playing Cat, "Practice Makes Purr-fect," three years ago. Then I found an old post about it on
siouxfleming's blog and went to watch it again. What I didn't know three years ago was that there are many more videos and that Nora has her very own website.
