Me, not so much.

First off, I want to thank all of you who've commented and PM'd and offered me support. I love you all so much, and I'm not sure how I'd get through all of this without you.

It's not really a surprise; I've exhausted all the non-surgical remedies. But the doctor thinks I'm an excellent candidate for a successful outcome. "You're still young," he said. Oh, I think I'm in love :D

I'll post more soon. I want to upload and post some of the X-rays and MRI images, so you can go "AAGHH!" or "Cool!" or "Huh?"

Anyone else having trouble posting?

My last post worked fine. Crossposting to

randompictures was not so fine: the html kept borking in Preview. Paste stopped working. I finally got it to work by typing everything in from the original post. Yes, by hand.

I couldn't get the

splodefromcute crosspost to work at all, despite typing in everything again. By hand. I thought maybe it was just Preview that was screwed up, so I posted anyway. No, still screwed up. All that showed up was the file name for the image. No video. I deleted it.

I tried it again in Safari, which was faster and less temperamental than Firefox has been lately, but the posting was no better.

I've now rebooted the computer and cut-and-paste seems to be working again.

Also, trying to follow the link to "Article" in the last post leads to Zombie Frank saying "file not found." That's why I added the link html.

I'll try the

splodefromcute post again in a while.

Is anyone else having trouble uploading to Photobucket? I haven't been able to make it work for a couple of days now. ("Unknown error"? That's a big help :p ) Sadly, it seems that I am not alone.

Edited to add: It's working now, as of 9-15-12, 1:27 PST. Guarded happiness, but I'm hopeful.

Hi, all, I'm finishing up a fic and wanted to check some words and terms for appropriateness regarding Britspeak -- specifically, whether Tenth Doctor would say/think them, or are there better alternatives?

1. ~~"riot" (hilarious, funny)-- as in the phrase, "he's a riot," for example~~ going with "right laugh"
2. "hilarious"
3. "in a nutshell" (essentially)
4. ~~"clear-cut" (obvious)~~ I'm going with "clear," the phrase in question being "the choice is clear." Does that sound OK?
5. "over and done with"

1 (guess not) and 5 actually sound like Britspeak to me ... opinions, please?

I've been feeling really lousy for a couple of weeks now -- a nasty upper/lower viral/bacterial respiratory infection. (Say that five times fast!) I'm taking kick- a** antibiotics, sleeping almost as much as my cats, and accomplishing next to nothing(and not particularly caring, either). I'm having some hearing distortion as well, probably from congestion, so will likely be seeing my doctor for the second time in a week. (Yes, I like her, but ...) I felt so awful this past weekend, in fact, that I not only didn't watch the "Adrift" episode of Torchwood on BBC America, I didn't even bother to tape it. (Luckily it reruns this weekend so I'll be able to tape both of them.)

I'm not just fishing for sympathy, though. *whine* I mainly wanted to explain why I haven't been posting at all, have barely read my F-page or anything else, and have commented even less. I love and miss you all! :(

Anyhow, thanks for listening to me fuss. *whines some more* I hope the rest of you are well enough to enjoy a little schadenfreude. I don't mind. I'm going back to bed now.
