That thing is truly hideous. I think a far more apt audio would have been how dry I am or maybe the vulture from Bugs Bunny cartoons. "Ya dump ta dumpty dump dump, dump dum dum. Dumpta dumpta dumpty dumpty dump da!"
Turtles and gators? See, now that bothers a lot of people! Go figure.
(Turtles on the menu disturbs me because I've had so much personal experience with them. Hard to eat something that you know has a personality, I guess.)
LMAO! Let it bother them, I love softshell fried like chicken. It's been so long. Gator, I can take or leave. I just think there are entirely too many of the bastards. They would be better served in a more manageable number, say less than half a million.
Other turtles, I agree on. Sea turtles are my favorites, so beautiful. I used to bury their eggs when I found them above the sand.
I have to admit I'm curious about what turtle tastes like. I don't think I could bring myself to order it, but I'd try a little if somebody else was having it. I haven't tried gator, either. Isn't it really bony? Or am I thinking of snake?
Yes, I agree there are more than enough gators. Plus they're bred commercially. I'd try it, given the opportunity. But then I haven't had any direct experience with the animal. They're interesting animals (aren't they all?), and I like how they mother their young.
Far as I know, it's only snake that's bony, but not as bad as fish. I only had the jaw and tail, they were watery the last time I tried, so it was disgusting.
I don't recall. I think they watch over them until a few weeks or maybe it's months.
I was on the beach when I was a kid and animals had dug up nests and I replanted the eggs.

You got to see a sea turtle beach? Where was it?
