Those aren't ducks in the last one, those are pigs! They eat so much food their crops nearly drag the ground. It's embarrassing to say I have 4 of them. They root in the dirt and mud looking for bugs and worms, creating these huge wallows. They tear up new plantings and gardens in their manic craze. Pigs!

My chickens have gotten into the excavation and tilling business. With the weather changing and the drought, insects and new growth is getting scarce. Our driveway next to my corner of the house and the opposite corner have been turned into a freshly tilled field. The grass is still there, but where was bare earth is now just so much turned soil. If it rains, the ducks will turn it into a bog.
