Actually, she might like the Godiva. But I wouldn’t give her a cactus.

Pairs skaters Pang Qing and Tong Jian at the 2014 Sochi Olympics. They’ll be getting married soon.

Tong Jian proposed to Pang Qing at a skating exhibition last year. (She said yes.)

1. Ha :) But he'll have to catch you first!

16. I forgot you like cacti. They last longer than chocolate, anyway. (Especially around here.)

Not so much here. We got a couple native (more likely imported), but they are some. Prickly Pears if I'm correct. Mine died, since I refused to take care of it. Mum hates them, and wouldn't let me plant it back in the yard.

Cacti can be tricky. You'd think they wouldn't need much care, but they like to be dry most of the time and live in well-drained sand, neither of which I'd think you'd have in Florida. They can have beautiful blooms, though.

Have you ever eaten cactus?

[identity profile] i-want-2.livejournal.com 2014-02-17 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
Ha! The sand around here doesn't hold water to save it's life. The only places that hold water is the dirt from fallen leaves/branches/trees/pine needles. But just scratch that aside, sand.

Hm. Do you think cacti would do OK if you could plant some in your yard, then? (Hidden from your mother, of course.)

Here's a cool article on the subject, by the way.

It depends upon the cacti. It would have to be freeze hardy and take high humidity levels.

That sounds like fun!

B and I had too many chocolates, ate at a lovely Mediterranean restaurant, and watched the Olympics. We're quiet types ;)

Also, icon love!
