Happiness Eight-Day Meme, Days Two and Three
Ganked from
time_converges.
1. Post about something that made you happy today.
2. Repeat for eight days.
3. Tag eight people to do the same.
Sorry, I was in a dark mood yesterday and didn't feel happy about anything. Better now :)
Yesterday: Diz, a neighbor's cat, came over and twined around my legs while I was out gardening. He's a gorgeous brown tabby who makes friends with everyone, even dogs. Although he's shorthaired, his fur is really thick and plushy from all the time he spends outside, so petting him feels wonderful. When you pet him, he purrs loudly and huskily, like a mountain lion (or any other big cat that purrs instead of roaring). He cheers me up even when I don't want to be cheered up :)
Today: I cut back (well, pulled back) the apple geranium that was smothering the milkweed plants. I'm not worried about killing it; it's incredibly hardy, not to mention invasive, which is why I needed to reduce its size in the first place. Scented geraniums have small leaves and smaller flowers, but they make up for that with strong scents: apple, peppermint, pineapple, even chocolate. They also strew their seeds everywhere, so "volunteer" plants are always coming up -- even in pots. The scented oils get on your hands. So now, even after washing, my hands smell like apples. Yum!
Of the people I've tagged, so far,
cassandraterra and
vail_kagami are doing this meme. I'm not sure if
azriona is going to, since she's done it before. And
achuislemochroi is already doing something similar.
