Yeppers, I was hoping to get them Monday, but the guy was only here on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They are the Coturnix Japonica, aka Japanese Quail. People call them Coturnix here. My old Ag teacher called them what they used to be commonly referred to, Japanese Quail. So, I call them that. Coturnix is the family of quail the Japanese in. It's like calling U.S. citizens americans, we are only one breed of the american family. but the best known.
Let me guess, they started to eat each other. Pigs do it all the time. Wouldn't surprise me if the quail got a little zombietastic.
